Getting Started
How do I create an account?
- Download SoClose from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Verify your email if prompted
- You're all set! Next, pair with your partner.
How do I pair with my partner?
- Tap "Generate Code" to create an invitation code
- Share the code with your partner (via WhatsApp, Messages, or any method you prefer)
- Your partner enters the code in their app
- You're automatically connected!
Note: Invitation codes expire after 7 days for security.
What if I can't find the invitation code?
If you can't find your invitation code:
- Check your email for any messages from SoClose
- Generate a new code (your old code will be replaced)
- Make sure you're using the same account that generated the code
Common Issues
I'm not receiving notifications
Try these steps:
- Check device settings: Go to Settings → Notifications → SoClose and ensure notifications are enabled
- Check app settings: Open SoClose and verify notification preferences in the app
- Restart the app: Close and reopen SoClose
- Check internet connection: Ensure you have an active internet connection
- Reinstall the app: If issues persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling SoClose
My partner's updates aren't showing
Try these solutions:
- Pull to refresh: Swipe down on the screen to refresh the data
- Check internet connection: Both you and your partner need an active internet connection
- Restart the app: Close and reopen SoClose
- Verify pairing: Make sure you're still connected to your partner (check the pairing status)
- Wait a moment: Sometimes sync takes a few seconds to update
I forgot my password
To reset your password:
- On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password"
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
- Log in with your new password
If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us.
The app is slow or crashing
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Update the app: Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store or Play Store
- Restart your device: Close all apps and restart your phone
- Clear app cache: Go to device settings → Apps → SoClose → Clear Cache (Android) or reinstall (iOS)
- Check storage space: Ensure you have enough storage space on your device
- Update your OS: Make sure your device operating system is up to date
- Contact support: If issues persist, email us with details about the problem
I can't see my partner's answers
This could happen if:
- Your partner hasn't answered yet (wait for them to respond)
- You're not properly paired (check your pairing status)
- The app needs to sync (pull down to refresh)
- There's a connection issue (check your internet)
If none of these apply, try logging out and back in, or contact support.
I want to delete my account
To delete your account:
- Open SoClose and go to Profile/Settings
- Scroll down to "Account" or "Privacy"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion
Warning: This will permanently delete all your data, including questions, tasks, goals, and collections. This action cannot be undone.
If you can't find the delete option, email us at nakulkhanadali@gmail.com and we'll help you delete your account.
Subscription & Billing
How do I start my free trial?
When you first pair with your partner, you'll be offered a 3-day free trial. Simply tap "Try for free" when prompted. No credit card is required to start the trial.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Play Store account:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → SoClose → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → SoClose → Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll continue to have access until then.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their policies:
- iOS: Contact Apple Support or use reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Contact Google Play Support through your Play Store account
We cannot process refunds directly. Please go through Apple or Google.
Does one subscription cover both partners?
Yes! One subscription gives both partners full Premium access. When one partner subscribes, both automatically get Premium features. You don't need separate subscriptions.
Features & Usage
How do I create a task?
- Go to the "Fridge Door" (Tasks) tab
- Tap the "+" button
- Enter task details (title, description, due date, assignment)
- Tap "Save"
How do I set a goal?
- Go to the "Goals" tab
- Tap the "+" button
- Choose goal type (habit, milestone, or achievement)
- Fill in goal details and preferences
- Tap "Create Goal"
How do I add photos to collections?
- Go to the "Collections" tab
- Select a collection or create a new one
- Tap "Add Photo" or the camera icon
- Choose from your photo library or take a new photo
- The photo will be shared with your partner automatically
What's the difference between Free and Premium?
Free Tier:
- 1 question per day
- Up to 3 tasks
- Up to 2 goals
- 7 days of question history
- No collections storage
Premium:
- Unlimited questions
- Unlimited tasks
- Unlimited goals
- Full question history
- 10GB collections storage
- Premium question categories
